Safety and Trust at AidersPlus

We’re building AidersPlus to be simple, fair, and safe for both renters and owners. Because we focus on premium event gear, we use clear rules, deposits, pickup and return proof, and an optional damage waiver to reduce confusion and protect everyone.

Deposits are part of responsible renting

Many items on AidersPlus require a refundable security deposit. Deposits help protect owners and keep rentals fair.

How it works:

  • The deposit is collected at checkout

  • If the item is returned on time, complete, and in good condition, the deposit is released

  • If there is verified damage, missing items, or major late return, some or all of the deposit may be used

Pickup and return are verified

Every booking follows a simple handoff process so both sides are protected.

At pickup:

  • Take clear photos of the item and accessories

  • Confirm the “what’s included” checklist

  • Confirm the item is working (where applicable)

At return:

  • Take return photos

  • Confirm all parts are returned

  • Confirm the condition

This creates a clear record, which keeps things peaceful and fair.

Optional damage waiver for extra peace of mind

Every booking follows a simple handoff process so both sides are protected.

For some bookings, renters can add a Damage Waiver at checkout. If accidental damage happens during the rental, it can help cover eligible repair or replacement costs, subject to limits and exclusions.

Important:

  • The Damage Waiver is a protection program, not insurance

  • It does not cover theft, loss, missing parts, intentional damage, misuse, late returns, or normal wear and tear

  • Security deposits apply first

Late returns affect other people’s events

Because most rentals are event-based, timing matters. Late returns may trigger late fees and can affect deposit release.

What we expect:

  • Return items on time

  • Communicate early if something changes

  • Keep items in protective cases during transport

If something goes wrong, we follow a clear process

Because most rentals are event-based, timing matters. Late returns may trigger late fees and can affect deposit release.

We aim to resolve issues calmly, based on evidence and clear rules.

If damage or missing parts are found:

  • The owner must report the issue within 24 hours of return

  • Photos and proof of cost (repair quote or replacement cost) may be required

  • AidersPlus reviews and decides: approve, partial approve, or deny

  • Deposits are applied first, and waiver coverage may apply if purchased
